ContextBase for finance Run the company the way you run medical cost

Most plans measure medical cost to the line, and the cost of running the company only at the admin ratio. ContextBase joins the domains into one model. Finance sees the cost to serve each product, customer, and market.

Cost to serve in a week. 15 ways to cut it.

A large national payer’s analytics strength was medical economics. The cost of running the company had never been measured one way. The nine domains behind it had never been joined.

Choose one question and the systems that answer it, with our team.

  2. 02Connect one system

Connected and mapped in days. Access is approved and time-limited, and every query lands on the audit trail.

  3. 03Check the answer

Audited every year. The certification letter is public, and reports are available on request.

  • Your grants, enforced

ContextBase reads through the grants you set on each connection. Access to data is requested with a reason, approved for a set window, and ends on its own.

  • Every query logged

Every query lands on the audit trail with who ran it. Your auditors can follow each number to its source.

  • Never trains a model

Your financial and member data never train a model, and nothing you send is kept at the model layer.

Questions

What teams ask before they start

Do we have to clean up our master data first?

No. ContextBase maps each source to the business objects as it stands, and records where sources disagree and how each conflict was resolved. A large national payer had an initial view of total cost to serve within a week, from nine domains that had never been joined.

Who decides how cost is allocated?

Finance. Each business object and rule is defined once, approved by the people who own it, and versioned in the knowledge graph, so every answer and agent uses the approved one.

Can it trace intercompany charges and chargebacks?

Yes. At a large national payer, intercompany charges and chargebacks traced to the work they funded, and every application showed which teams used it and which paid for it. Read the impact study

Does it replace our ERP or planning software?

No. ContextBase reads the data those systems produce where it already lands, and works alongside them. Dashboards you build in ContextBase refresh without spending tokens.

How long before our team gets a first answer?

Connecting a system takes from 1 to 2 days for IP allowlisting to 1 to 2 weeks for a site-to-site VPN, depending on the route your team picks. Once it is connected, its first scan completes within hours.
