Network considerations
Fully managed SaaS. HTTPS to app.asana.com/api/1.0/. No VPN needed.
Asana Enterprise: May have admin-configured API restrictions.
Credential and auth management
Preferred: Service account with PAT. Asana’s recommended pattern for integrations. Create a dedicated Asana user as a service account.
Alternative: OAuth 2.0 app. Registered in Asana Developer Console.
Rate limit: 1,500 requests/minute. Flume implements backoff.
